Vardenafil, also known by the brand name “Levitra,” is a prescription medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction. It makes it easier to get and keep an erection. Vardenafil contains the same active ingredient as Levitra and is FDA-approved for the treatment of ED.

Vardenafil is one of the most widely prescribed medications for ED in the world. It is not a cure for ED but it can help men get and keep an erection when they are sexually aroused.

How Does Vardenafil Work?

PDE5 inhibitors, of which vardenafil is a member, are a class of medications. A PDE5 inhibitor prevents PDE5 from constricting the arteries by inhibiting PDE5.

When a man is sexually aroused, vardenafil relaxes the arteries, allowing more blood to flow.

In the course of arousal, the active ingredient affects the chain of reactions in the penis.

Nitric oxide is released into the penis of a sexually aroused male, setting off a series of reactions.

As a result, cyclic guanosine monophosphate is produced by the enzyme guanylate cyclase (cGMP).

Circulating male growth hormone (cGMP) is responsible for regulating how blood vessels in and around the penis contract and dilate. Penile blood vessels expand as a result of the chemical reaction, while those responsible for removing blood from the penis contract.

In the absence of cGMP, the blood vessels shrink, putting an end to the erection. Prevents PDE5 from destroying CGMP by Vardenafil As a result, cGMP is able to last longer. As a result, an erection can be maintained for a longer period.

How Should Vardenafil Be Used?

How Should Vardenafil Be Used?

Vardenafil is available as a tablet and a rapidly dissolving (dissolves in the mouth and is swallowed without water) tablet for oral administration. It’s usually taken 60 minutes before sexual activity, with or without food, as needed. Vardenafil should not be taken more than once every 24 hours in most cases. If you have certain health problems or are taking certain medicines, your doctor may tell you to take vardenafil less often. If you don’t understand something on your prescription label, ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain it to you. Vardenafil should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor. Avoid taking more or less than your doctor has told you to.

Check the blister pack before taking your first dose if you’re taking a rapidly disintegrating tablet. It is best not to use any medication from the package if the blisters are broken or torn. The instructions on the package will tell you how to remove the tablet from the blister pack. The tablet will shatter if you try to push it through the foil. Close your mouth as soon as you remove the tablet from the blister pack and place it on your tongue. Dissolving the tablet is a snap. The rapidly dissolving tablet should not be mixed with water or other liquids.

Your doctor will most likely start you on an average dose of vardenafil tablets and gradually increase or decrease it as your response to the medication improves. Because rapidly disintegrating tablets are only available in one strength, your doctor will not be able to adjust your dose if you are taking them. Your doctor may prescribe regular tablets instead if you require a higher or lower dose. If vardenafil isn’t working or you’re having side effects, talk to your doctor.

Vardenafil tablets cannot be substituted for vardenafil rapidly disintegrating tablets. Ensure that you receive only the type of vardenafil that your doctor has prescribed. If you have any questions about the type of vardenafil you were given, talk to your pharmacist.

Vardenafil Vs Viagra

Clinical studies have shown that both Levitra and Viagra are effective, but which one is better? Although Levitra was found to be more potent than Viagra, both drugs were found to be equally effective in the treatment of ED, according to a study. Unlike Viagra, Levitra does not impair color perception, which is its only advantage. Levitra’s sole advantage was that it did not impair color perception, as Viagra occasionally does. Another study discovered that both medications were well tolerated, with Levitra being slightly more so than Viagra.

Only your healthcare provider can determine the most effective medication for you, taking into account your medical history and current condition(s), as well as any other medications you are taking that may interact with Levitra or Viagra.
